About
Our lab conducts research on early language development and emergent literacy in bilingual and culturally diverse children. Our goal is to imporve academic outcomes for these at risk children.
The lab is part of the Department of Communication Sciences Disorders at UNCG.
MEET THE DIRECTOR
LUCÍA I. MÉNDEZ, PH.D., CCC-SLP
Dr. Méndez, PH.D., CCC-SLP, is a Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
She is interested in early language and literacy development, and her research focuses on developing high quality language and literacy-based instructional and assessment approaches that support school readiness and positive academic outcomes in young children from culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
