DOCTORAL STUDENTS

Students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. under Dr. Mendez’ direction may be eligible for financial support from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Graduate Students

First year SLP Graduate students interested in completing a Master’s thesis in topics related to our lab’s research focus are welcome to contact Dr. Méndez. Graduate students may also register for independent study and receive course credit for assisting with research related to the lab’s research objectives.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students may register for independent study and receive course credit for assisting with research in the Lab. The independent study activities will vary depending on Lab needs and the students’ educational goals.

Volunteers

Students interested in becoming familiar with a lab focused on research on early language and literacy development with bilingual children can also participate in our lab. Volunteers may contribute in different ways, including the development of instructional/research materials, literature searches, website maintenance, clerical work, and other related tasks.
